Second Avenue Subway, MTACC New York, New York

5

The Second Avenue Subway Project was an important infrastructure expansion for the East Side of Manhattan, where overcrowding on the Lexington Avenue subway line had become a major issue. The project’s first phase was completed in 2019 and included new tunnels and fully accessible stations at 72nd, 86th, and 96th Streets. MCSS played a key role in supporting the efforts of PB/WSP, providing scheduling support, construction management, resident engineering services, and signals and communication systems inspections. This expansion was part of the MTA’s plan to improve New York City’s transportation network and provide relief to overcrowded subway lines.

Construction costs over $5B
