MCSS is supporting the CCM, The Liro Group on two contracts for the installation of electronic security systems. These contracts are C-52141, Furnish and Install an Electronic Security System (ESS) at Columbus Circle Station Complex and C-52144, Furnish and Install an Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS) at 42nd Street Grand Central Station and the 63rd Street Tunnel. The aim of these projects is to install CCTV cameras to monitor both public and non-public spaces in the subway to improve security. Enhancements include video surveillance, monitoring and management by NYCT and NYPD personnel. It provides the ability to view, record, store, retrieve and replay video images. The work includes installation of cameras, access nodes, conduits and cables and the reconfiguration and migration of existing cameras and video management systems. MCSS Field Engineers perform inspections of installations and witness to site acceptance tests, fiber optic cable testing, and camera performance. They create General Order packages and coordinate work train and flagging requests and review contractor payment requests. The also participate in change order management by assisting with scope clarification and estimating material and labor quantities and costs.
